The five-star corner, ranked second nationally, enjoyed his time in the Golden State.
"We hit up Cal-Berkeley, USC and UCLA and it's been different, but it's been a great trip," said Grant. "The weather is incredible out here, I'm enjoying it. We went to Hollywood (on Sunday) and the Sunset Strip and there are a lot of different things out here than from the Midwest."
For Grant, it wasn't about seeing the sights and sounds, so much, but about seeing the schools he's interested in.
"That's why I'm on this trip," said Grant. "I want to see what every school that has offered me has to offer. I want to see for myself full on. If that's the best place for me out here, down South or in the Midwest then I'll commit."
Grant said no school has emerged as a leader just yet.
"I used to have an early list of seven, but I changed it to open because I knew I was coming on a trip out here, and it wasn't fair to have a list and not be open about it," said Grant. "So right now, I'm liking everyone, so the list will change. I'll have a top five right before football season. Right now, the plan is to take all my official visits, but that could change."
Grant has been selected to the UnderArmour All-America Game, but isn't sure if he'll decide by then.
"I don't know if I'll be ready yet," said Grant. "Really, whenever the time feels right, I'll do it."
Grant said the three California schools all impressed him.
"UCLA has a really nice campus, and the facilities are awesome and Coach Neuheisel is great," said Grant. "At SC, Coach (John) Morton is recruiting me and I like the competition at USC and the great players. At Cal, Coach Tosh Lupoi is recruiting me, and the Cal campus was nice, I really liked it up there. That's why I'm out here for, to see California and see if this is the place for me the next four years."
Grant, said he's set on playing corner, with maybe some returning mixed in.
"And if they let me play some receiver, I'd do it," said Grant.
