Now he's starting to set up visit dates. Louisville will get the first crack at him during the weekend of September 4th. He'll then visit Connecticut during the weekend of the 11th and Oregon the weekend of the 18th.
After a few weekends off he'll be in Lawrence (Kans.) for their midnight madness festivities. He'll then take his final official visit to Arizona the weekend of October 23rd.
"I'm not favoring anybody right now," Turner, a four-star prospect, told Scout.com.
The Sacramento (Calif.) High standout may not have a timeframe for his college decision, but he isn't planning to wait until the spring.
"I'm probably going to wait it out for a little while," Turner said. "… I'm going to sign in the early period."
Turner, who played with the Oakland Soldiers on the summer circuit, had a terrific summer. He played well at NBA Camp in June and followed that up with a Fab 48 championship in Las Vegas.
"I think I did well," he said of the summer. "Some scouts didn't think I was a point guard and they thought I was more of a shooting guard, but I think I proved to most of the scouts that I'm more of a point guard."
"I think the biggest thing that I have over other guards is being bigger than them," he added.
Turner is currently rated No. 39 overall by Scout.com.
