"I don't have a set top 10 yet," Flowers said. "My dad and I are starting to work on it though. I've been to a lot of schools on unofficials and learned a lot of what they have to offer. That's really helping me decide on where I might take my official visits."
Two of those unofficial visits have been to UCLA and Oregon.
"I'm thinking about going back to Oregon for an official and maybe UCLA too," he said. "I got an invite to Oregon's Junior Day (April 3), so we decided to go. I really liked the area and the campus. I'd like to go out there again and see more. I've talked to Coach (Scott) Frost (wide receivers) about maybe coming out there again for an official, but nothing's set yet."
"I went to UCLA on June 23," Flowers said. "We were at the Rising Stars Camp at USC and thought since they were so close, we should go check out UCLA too. I talk to Coach (Reggie) Moore (wide receivers) probably five times a week. He wants me to take an official there like now pretty much."
All the schools on Flowers' possible official visit list have one thing in common. "All of them stand out because they all are recruiting me the hardest," he said. "I talk to all of them almost every day. I know they all really want me and that's something that sticks in your head."
Another possibility for Scout.com's 104th-ranked receiver is the Irish. "They are really pushing for me to come check out the campus," Flowers said. "I talk to Coach (Mike) Elston (defensive line) all the time about coming out there and how much I would love it. I really like the type of offense they run and I know they have a good business school. I'm really thinking about taking an official there."
LSU could also be in line. "I've took an unofficial to LSU a couple of months ago and really liked it there," he said. "I got a real feel for the campus and the area. I think we're going to the LSU/North Carolina game at the Georgia Dome next week. It's only three hours away from here. It's going to be nice to see them play in person. I'm not sure about an official, but I'm thinking about going down again sometime soon, so I can check everything out with people around and not on the weekend."
Flowers, who denies any timetable for committing, said he plans to narrow down his list by mid-season. "My dad and I are checking out all the different games right now," he said. "That's how we are starting. The most important things to me are academics first, then the coaching staff and campus. Right now everybody's going at it pretty good."
Flowers reports a 3.4 core GPA, a 1010 SAT and a 21 ACT.
