The UConn men dropped in the polls last week after those defeats to Seton Hall and Rutgers, but after beating West Virginia and Notre Dame, the Huskies are headed in the right direction again. The men are No. 13 in this week's Associated Press poll and No. 11 in the ESPN/USA Today poll released Jan. 16.
The UConn women remain No. 3 in the AP poll. Monday night at Gampel the Huskies take on another Top 25 team. North Carolina dropped but from 22 but remained in the rankings at No. 24 after losing to Clemson last week.
The men, who return to action Wednesday night at Gample against Cincinnati, are back to No. 4 in the official NCAA RPI released Monday. The Huskies were No. 8 last week. They trail Syracuse, Duke and Baylor in the RPI.
