Louisville Making Statement

Is it possible the Big East Conference football race will come down to Cincinnati and Louisville? Umm. Right now we might be headed in that direction. But there's a lot of ball left to play.

Big East Conference power rankings for Week 11 of the college football season:

1. Cincinnati (7-1, 3-0): The Bearcats trailed at halftime and overcame a 10-point second-half deficit for the second consecutive week. Right now Cincinnati is finding a way to win, but can that continue? West Virginia will put the formula to test on Saturday.

2. Louisville (5-4, 3-1): Teddy Bridgewater is taking the conference by storm. The Louisville QB completed his first seven passes against Syracuse and then completed his first 10 in a 38-35 win over West Virginia last week. Wow.

3. West Virginia (6-3, 2-2): The Mountaineers have gained at least 500 yards in two of their three losses this season (LSU and Louisville). Hey WVU fans, do you still consider Dana Holgorsen "The Chosen One"? West Virginia should be better.

4. Rutgers (6-3, 3-2): The Scarlet Knights would be ahead of West Virginia, but they needed OT to get past South Florida. Wide receiver Mohamed Sanu is having an amazing season.

5. Pitt (4-5, 2-2): After the solid victory over UConn, the Panthers went back to their old bad habits in a 26-23 loss to Cincinnati. Still no win over a FBS team with a winning record.

6. UConn (4-5, 2-2): The Huskies showed some heart and determination against Syracuse Saturday. Now comes a week off before a big showdown with Louisville. UConn still has an outside shot at going bowling.

7. Syracuse (5-4, 1-3): I watched the Orange destroy West Virginia. I still don't understand what happened. It took UConn a half to figure out those roll out passes and naked bootlegs, but the Huskies put a stop to it.

8. South Florida (4-4, 0-4): USF has lost four straight for the first time in program history. Think about that.
