Green Has Short List

Danny Green, a 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard/forward from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, told the Insiders Report that Connecticut is one school he would like to take a serious look at before making a decision on his college choice. "It's a school that has had a lot of success," Green said. "I would like to play at a school that has a chance to win."

Green stated that he is interested in Rhode Island, Villanova, North Carolina State, Louisville, St. John's, Florida, Connecticut, Vanderbilt, and Colgate. "I don't have a leader right now," Green said. "I still want to see some of the schools so I can have a clear idea on what they are about." Green scored 22 points yesterday in helping his team, the Long Island Panthers, knock off Holy Cross in a playoff game held at IS8 in South Jamaica, New York. Green hit for two three-pointers, showed the ability to play the point in transition, and deflected several passes. "I think I can play either the one, two or three," said Green, referring to the point guard, shooting guard, and small forward positions. "It doesn't matter to me where I play as long as I play." Green, who helped spark the Panthers to an easy 82-48 win, was not sure if he would even sign in the Fall. "I have to see how the summer goes," he said. "I don't know how long it will take. But I do want to take my time."
