Goodridge, who plays for Darryl Schofield at Philadelphia Lutheran in Pennsylvania, is likely to be a high major impact player due to his defensive skills. As he rounds his offensive game into shape over the next year, Goodridge is likely to see major minutes as a freshman in college.
Vernon has many offers on the table. But he indicates he is also open in his recruiting process. "North Carolina has been calling my coach," Goodridge said. "I don't know if they offered but they are interested."
In addition, St. John's has worked Goodridge very hard and had made an offer a while ago. Goodridge was thinking about taking a visit to St. John's on Friday. "I am not sure if I can visit now," Goodridge said. "I am supposed to play Friday night. But I will visit there soon."
Other schools Goodridge mentioned as being of interest include Connecticut, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Clemson, Florida State, and Pittsburgh. "I am still open," Goodridge said. "I just want to take some visits before I decide. Right now I am just trying to get better each time I play." Goodridge also mentioned interest in taking a visit to the Connecticut campus. "I am not sure when I can do it but I would like to take a trip there," Goodridge said. "Right now I am just getting ready to play this weekend."
