Pena, rated very high by many top scouting services and also East Coast expert Tom Konchalski, said he is also still wide open in his recruiting process.
"Villanova, Miami, St. John's, Pittsburgh, South Florida, and Connecticut are schools I hear from the most," Pena said. "Location isn't a big factor in what I am going to decide. I am not sure when I might make a decision but I would like to take some visits before I decide."
Pena is a battler inside. He can pick up loose balls and rebound. He is highly valued by the colleges due to the lack of depth at the forward position in the 2005 class and also because Pena has the ability to be an impact player at a high level.
"All the schools on the list are equal," Pena said. "They are equal because I haven't seen all the schools yet. I don't know when I am going to visit but I hope to make a decision in the Fall."
Pena said he hoped to visit Connecticut and see what level of interest the program has in his skills.
