Costner, Seton Hall Prep Advance

What a busy week it will be for Brandon Costner

SOUTH ORANGE, NEW JERSEY -- When the final buzzer sounded today inside the tiny gym on the campus of Seton Hall University, combo forward Brandon Costner sported several areas on his body and face from which blood flowed this past weekend at the AND1 tournament. Costner, who scored just six points in Seton Hall Prep's 57-49 win over St. Patrick in the regional final, was also instrumental in several other areas in helping his team win.

Costner had six assists and grabbed eight rebounds. "I had a lot of fun this weekend," he said. "It can be rough but that's part of the game."

Costner had plenty of help in the final today. Guard Chris Andrews gave the St. Patrick defense fits with his quick moves around the perimeter. Andrews scored 14 points, many of them on pullup jumpers. Andrew Pusar was also very effective for Seton Hall Prep. He added 18 points in the win.

St. Patrick was led by Andre Davis, who led all scorers with 23 points.

Costner now has to do some quick moving around the country. "I am going to the NBA camp tonight," Costner said. "Then I am going to Colorado Springs on Wednesday and want to be with my team next weekend (Saturday)," he stated.

For this to happen, Costner would have to leave Colorado Springs earlier than he previously planned. So Costner will have a tough decision later this week on whether to leave Colorado Springs early to play with his team or to stay.

Costner has many schools high on his list. "Connecticut, Seton Hall, North Carolina State, Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, St. Joe's and Georgia Tech are schools I am interested in," Costner said. "I don't have a favorite right now and I plan to make my decision in the Fall." Costner has already visited the Connecticut campus and appear to be in good shape. Seton Hall and North Carolina State also appear to be high on the recruiting list. But Costner was not naming top schools just yet. "Everyone has an equal chance," he stated Sunday. "I like them all. I want to take some official visits in the Fall before deciding."
