Big Time Center Visiting UCONN

The Connecticut program will have a visitor this week

Vernon Goodridge, a shot-blocking specialist from Lutheran Christian Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will take a visit to the Connecticut campus this upcoming week. "It will be either Thursday or Friday morning," Goodridge told the Insiders Report. "I have never been to the Connecticut campus so I am anxious to see the school and meet the coaches."

Goodridge, 6-foot-9, needs to continue to strengthen his frame to be college ready. He already has the ability to block shots in bunches. Vernon also has a nice soft touch from the outside that he has been working over the past year.

"I have heard from St. John's, Georgetown, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Florida State, and UCLA recently," Goodridge said. "I am just looking for a school I can fit in and play."

Goodridge said he doesn't know when he would make a decision. "When I feel right about a school I can make a decision," Goodridge said.

Vernon will be at the ADIDAS camp in Atlanta, Georgia in early July. He will travel with his high school team to tournaments in Las Vegas and California. "I don't think I will be taking any more trips after (UCONN this week)," Goodridge said.
