Goodridge: "UCONN Visit Was Nice"

Vernon Goodridge talks about his visit to Connecticut

Vernon Goodridge, a shot-blocking specialist from Lutheran Christian Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, praised his most recent trip -- an unofficial visit to the University of Connecticut. "I really liked it a lot," Goodridge said. "It was nice. I got a chance to meet a lot of people."

Vernon met the Connecticut coaching staff. "I also had a chance to talk to the strength coach and the academics advisor," Goodridge stated. "Everything went well. Meeting those people stood out to me."

Goodridge, 6-foot-9, is currently in Atlanta, Georgia for the ADIDAS camp. He will start tomorrow. After the ADIDAS camp, he will compete at the tournament in Teaneck, New Jersey.

St. John's, Georgetown, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Florida State, and UCLA are all being considered by Goodridge. "I am going to take some Fall visits," he said. "I would like to sign in the Fall after I take some official visits."
