UCONN 2005 Target Has New List

UCONN prospect Danny Green has a new list of schools

St. Mary's swingman Danny Green has seen his list shrink by one major school. Green, a 6-foot-5 versatile athlete who will play this summer for Gary Charles' New York Panthers, told us that North Carolina State is out of his recruiting race. "They got a player," Green said. "So my list has changed."

Charles confirmed the elimination of North Carolina State too where both were at the ABCD camp in Teaneck, New Jersey. "I am still open," Green said. "I will probably still take visits in the Fall and then make my decision."

Green can shoot, pass, defend and rebound. He is big enough and skilled to create mismatches at the guard position. Connecticut, Georgetown, Vriginia, Pittsburgh, and St. John's have all been mentioned by Green as possibilities of Fall official visits.

"I am still listening to schools," Green said. "I just want to see who is interested after the summer and then make up my mind wher I would visit."

The UCONN staff was on hand yesterday to watch Green play in his two games at the Reebok ABCD camp. Green showed the ability to drop down the three-pointers but appeared also to be adjusting to his new teammates like most players at the camp.
