Now, more competition has come along for his skills.
Goodridge, 6-foot-9, is currently competing at the Reebok East event held at FDU in Teaneck, New Jersey. "I thought I had a good camp," he said. "I am trying to work on my post up moves and my ballhandling. I want to get stronger too."
Goodridge's team lost last night to the Michigan Hurricanes in a pool playoff game. But in this battle against a stacked Hurricanes team, Goodridge started showing his jump hook and turnaound jumper.
"I am going to work on it all summer," he said. "I want to lift weights too and get stronger."
Goodridge's reputation is that he's a shot-blocking specialist from Lutheran Christian Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And because of his upside and shot-blocking skills, many high majors are following him around this summer.
"The only new school on my list is Mississippi State," Goodridge said. "The list is the same except for them."
Georgetown, Purdue, and Florida State are also mentioned as being high on Goodridge's list. So the competition to land Goodridge is getting stronger and is likely to increase if he continues his great summer.
"I will wait until the Fall before I take some visits," Goodridge said. "I don't have a leader right now in my recruiting. I want to take some official visits before I decide."
