UCONN Target Has New List

Danny Green, an outstanding swingman from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, has another major offer on the table

The competition to land St. Mary's swingman Danny Green has increased. Green, 6-foot-5, was recently named the co-MVP of the ABCD Reebok camp in Teaneck, New Jersey. The Connecticut staff was on hand to scout and show their interest in Green during the week.

Because of the early summer sizzling start, Green was offered last night by the North Carolina program, according to Danny Green, Sr. The Insiders Report later spoke to Danny, Jr., who also confirmed the UNC offer.

Danny Green, Sr., told the Insiders Report that his son has a top list. "UNC, St. John's, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Miami, and North Carolina State are the schools Danny is interested in right now," Mr. Green said. "He has some other schools that he is also interested in. But NC State called back last night and wants to recruit Danny again."

Mr. Green says his son does not have a leader yet in his recruiting process. Green was named the co-MVP of the ABCD camp. He is currently among the top five players by the Insiders Report for New York State. He is likely to climb higher in the new rankings to be released next week.

Danny will not compete this week in West Virginia with the New York Panthers.
