UConn Recruit Leads Team To Peach Jam Win

UConn prospect Paul Gause's 28 points powers New Jersey All-Stars to 110-80 win over highly regarded Ga. Stars.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- The final score had a lot of people doing a double take, but Frank Burg's New Jersey All-Stars dismantled the Georgia Stars, 110-80 on Wednesday morning at the Nike Peach Jam Invitational.

The All-Stars placed five in double figures, led by Paul Gause's 28 points. Jaron Griffin, who committed to Rutgers last month, tallied 24 for the South Jersey based squad.

Philadelphia native Maurice Thomas netted 23 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Lawrenceville School's Craig Moore tallied 12. The Georgia Stars had gone through much of the spring travel period undefeated, so the lopsided nature of the defeat was a surprise. The Georgia bound duo of Louis Williams (23 points, six assists) and Mike Mercer (19 points) led the way for the Stars.
