Costner: List Remains The Same

Connecticut will continue to monitor the progress of Seton Hall Prep forward Brandon Costner

The beat continues to drum on for Brandon Costner, the solid 6-8, 210-pound combo forward from Seton Hall (NJ) Prep. He's playing hard for his Playaz Basketball team, helping them win, and staying steady throughout the whole recruiting process.

It's been a busy past four weeks for Costner. In late June, he helped his East Team capture the Bronze medal at the USA Basketball Youth Development Festival. The start of July, he played strongly at adidas Superstar Camp. "It went well," said Costner. "I played well against the competition. The workouts we had were challenging and fun."

Individually, things have gone well for Costner, but it's also benefited his Playaz Basketball Club team as well. Earlier this AAU season, expectations were high but production was mediocre from the talented team. But things seem to be finally coming together - and all at the right time for the Playaz. "We just won the Playaz Ball tournament," said Costner. "We're playing better and we'll be ready for Vegas."

Costner continues to take his time with his recruiting, and continues to maintain his same list of schools, which includes Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, Connecticut, Seton Hall, UCLA, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina State. "There's nothing new right now," said Costner. "I'm just taking it one day at a time. I'll start (narrowing things down) in the fall."

Many of the programs mentioned above were on hand the past week to watch Costner play at either the Reebok East tournament or the Playaz Ball. Both of these events were held in New Jersey.

With that said, With two weeks left in the season, Costner is simply going to finish out his final AAU season by doing the best that he can to help his team win. "I don't think I have anything left to prove," said Costner. "I'm just going to go out and play hard."
