Decision Could Come Next Week For Adrien

Pittsburgh and Connecticut have an old-fashioned Big East recruiting battle going for the services of Jeff Adrien

Jeff Adrien, a 6-foot-6 forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, is expected to be on the campus of Connecticut today to start his first of two visits. Adrien, who is also expected to visit Pittsburgh on Monday, could have a decision later next week, according to a source close to Adrien.

Kansas is still being mentioned by Adrien of being a school of interest. But Adrien has already stated he would prefer to stay close to home in his interviews with the Insiders Report.

Adrien's stock climbed skyward this past summer when he had a great Peach Jam tournament. He had a good Showcase and Nationals as well in Orlando, Florida.

Adrien, who has been offered by all three schools mentioned above, also had free rides from Miami, Arizona, Villanova, and Iowa State have also offered while Boston College, Georgia, Providence, and Penn State have also expressed interest.

But it's becoming clear that Connecticut and Pittsburgh are having a showdown over the next seven days to see who might land Adrien.
