Will New Jersey Forward Have A Shorter List Soon?

This week might determine how involved Connecticut will be with Brandon Costner

The target list for Connecticut is shrinking for sure with Jeff Adrien's decision possibly coming in a couple of days. Adrien is currently visiting Pittsburgh after taking an official visit to Connecticut last weekend.

This past weekend the Insiders Report attended the Sonny Hill tournament in Philadelphia. Brandon Costner, a 6-foot-8 forward from Seton Hall Prep in New Jersey, played with the Playaz Black team (rising seniors).

Costner was very effective in getting to the foul line and mixing it up inside. He continues to list Connecticut among his top schools. But this could change if the National Champs land Adrien.

"I am open," Costner said. "Seton Hall, Connecticut, North Carolina State, Kansas, and UCLA are some of my top schools. I don't have a leader."

Brandon is a player who can stroke the jumper from the outside or battle you inside. "It's been a long summer," Costner said. "I am going to the Five Star camp and then take a vacation. I don't have any visits set up yet."

Costner's list will likely shrink if Connecticut lands Adrien, who plays a little like Costner. Brandon probably spends more time along the perimeter while Adrien scores 99 percent of his points inside. Both are exceptional players but there are only so many scholarships the UCONN program has to give out this season.
