Bynum's List Likely To Shrink

Andrew Bynum's list will likely narrow soon after the Blue Devils land a big man

The recruiting process for Connecticut target Andrew Bynum, a 7-foot center from St. Joe's in New Jersey, took an interesting twist over the past 24 hours. Bynum, who had recently received a phone call from Coach K at Duke, had set up an in home visit with the Blue Devils for September 20th. This apparently will change due to Duke landing Eric Boateng, a big man from St. Andrew's in Delaware. Eric committed last night to Duke, according to sources.

It's now likely Duke will bypass the recruiting process of Bynum and be happy with Boateng.

Bynum, who stated he would like to visit Connecticut unofficially this weekend, has also set up a visit to North Carolina for Midnight Madness and Georgia for October 1st. He also has expressed interest in visiting Georgia Tech.

Rutgers is also a serious part of this recruiting process. Bynum has been to the Rutgers campus a few times.

Bynum had a solid summer playing for the New Jersey All Stars. Just 16-years old, his upside is huge. He dunks everything from 3-5 feet within the rim. As his skills improve and his consistency progresses, he will someday be a very good NBA player too.
