Garcia Has Four Visits Planned

John Garcia is lining up trips but isn't yet sure about a return trip to Storrs

John Garcia, a 6-foot-9 center/power forward from Brentwood High School in New York, will take an unofficial visit to Villanova this upcoming weekend, according to Garcia.

Garcia also has planned visits to some other Big East schools. On September 18th, he plans to visit the University of Pittsburgh. On September 24, Garcia has a trip to St. John's planned. He will also visit Seton Hall the following weekend.

Connecticut has spoken to Garcia about visiting Storrs for the weekend of October 29th. Garcia has yet to confirm whether he will take that trip.

The National Champs have Andrew Bynum, another big man, scheduled for a visit on the weekend of October 22nd. Garcia told the Insiders Report he wasn't sure whether he would wait that late to take a trip and then make a decision.

Garcia, who was named to the Reebok All Star game in early July at the ABCD camp, had an exceptional July. He also had an outstanding spring, sparking much interest on the national scene.

There were several schools that tried to stay involved with Garcia. Among the schools that tried after the summer with John was Arizona. Garcia, who wanted to stay closer to home, turned down the Pac-10 school.
