UCONN Watches Ellington Practice

Wayne Ellington worked out today in Philadelphia

He's a high priority for several big name schools, including the University of Connecticut. The National Champions were on hand today in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to watch Wayne Ellington.

Ellington, a terrific 6-3, 175-pound shooting guard from The Episcopal Academy in Merion, Penn., is one of the best prospects in the 2006 class. Ellington has a sweet touch from the perimeter. He is able to shake defenders with his movement away from the ball as well as with his handle.

These are the reasons why head coach Jim Calhoun and assistant coach Tom Moore were on hand today to watch Ellington workout. Several other high profile schools also were on hand, including Seton Hall University and Roy Williams of North Carolina.

Ellington continues to say he doesn't have a leader in his recruiting process. "I am wide open," he said. Ellington has a list of several big name schools. Besides Connecticut, Arizona, Duke, Syracuse, Kentucky, Villanova, St. Joe's, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and Arizona have been maentioned by Ellington.

Ellington has stated he will take his time in his recruiting process.
