Marcus Williams Concludes Maryland Trip

Marcus Williams finished up his campus trip to Maryland this past weekend

Marcus Williams, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard/small forward from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Washington, told UCONNInsiders.com that his visit to Maryland went well. "Coach (Gary) Williams is a funny guy," he said. "I got along great with him. It was a real good visit."

But Williams did not verbal to the Terps. "I told (Maryland coaches) them before my visit that I wasn't going to make any decision until I took all my visits," Marcus said. "So they knew that going into this weekend."

Marcus said his next visit will be out West. "I am going to visit Arizona," he said. "They have a great coach, a winning tradition, and they do a great job with the guards and I am a guard."

After the trip to Arizona, Williams plans on taking a trip to Connecticut in two weeks. "I know Coach Calhoun would be healthy for me," he said. "He pushes his players. He helps make the players become better."

Williams said he hopes to sign a letter of intent in November and make his decision after his visit to Storrs, Connecticut.
