Ellington Keeps UCONN High On His List

Though just a 2006 prospect, the recruiting for Wayne Ellington is pretty intense

Connecticut continues to show plenty of interest in Wayne Ellington, a terrific 6-3, 175-pound shooting guard from The Episcopal Academy in Merion, Penn. Ellington, who continues to state he is wide open in his recruiting process, did list Connecticut again in a recent interview with the Insiders Report. The McDonald's All American candidate lists several Big East and ACC schools on his list.

Among them: Connecticut, North Carolina State, Seton Hall, Villanova, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech. At Ellington's previous workouts, schools like Connecticut, North Carolina, Syracuse, St. Joe's, Arizona, etc have expressed interest.

"I am going to take my time," Ellington said. "I have to see who is really interested. I may try to take some visits during the winter and see some games on campus if I can get the time to do it."

Ellington added: "I like the Big East and the ACC conferences. Most of the schools in the Big East are recruiting me hard."
