UConn one of four top majors to offer scholarship to 6-foot-7 Qa'rraan Calhoun from New Jersey.

Qa'rraan Calhoun, a talented forward from the state of New Jersey, stated he plans on prepping next season. The senior who played for the Playaz Club this past AAU year, already has several offers on the table.

"St. John's, Connecticut, Arizona, and Missouri have offered me," Calhoun said.

Calhoun said that he plans on officially visiting Arizona in two weeks.

"Right now St. John's and Connecticut are the two schools that stand out," Calhoun said. "I have already visited St. John's and I like Norm Roberts a lot."

On Connecticut: "I like the coaches and I like their style of play. They have a successful program there."

On Arizona: "It's a great program too. I like the fact they have been winning and their offense is good too. I like their style of play. I should know more about Arizona after my visit there."

On Missouri: "Their style of play. I still need to find out more about Missouri."

Calhoun plans on making a decision soon. "I would like to have a decision before the summer starts," he said. "I don't know exactly when but before the summer."

Calhoun, 6-foot-7 and 205 pounds from Raritan High School, has improved his game over the past year. He is an exciting type of athlete who runs the floor exceptionally well. Calhoun can damage a team mentally with his dunks too.

"I am trying to improve all parts of my game," he said. "I want to be a complete player so every time I am in practice I try to work on everything."

Calhoun said he was still unsure where he might go to prep school.
