Decison time nearing for Natick athlete

Although we didn't hear much about him earlier in the year, Natick (Mass.) defensive back talks about his offers, and his scheduled unofficial visits that are planned in the next couple of weeks.

Reshaude Goodwyn the highly sought after defensive back from Natick (Mass.) was able to update us on his schools of interest and where he may choose to go to college.

"I have offers from Connecticut, Boston College, and New Hampshire." Goodwyn said. "I plan on visiting Boston College today, and will visit Connecticut on August 26th."

Connecticut may have the inside track due to the amount of playing time that may be available for the Huskies. "I want to go to a school that I have a chance to play early, my ultimate goal is to have a shot to play in the NFL, and if I have to sit for a few years then I am not learning everything I can."

"When I went to the camp I felt at home, I thought I had my best performance at the UCONN camp. It gave me an opportunity to really get to know the people there.

"Meeting the players will be the biggest factor in choosing any school for me."

"I am looking forward to my trip to Connecticut because I did not get to see the stadium and the campus." "My visits to both Connecticut and Boston College will be key in making my decision." "A lot of people are telling me I should go to Boston College but I am not so sure, plus I think Connecticut may fit me a little better, which is why I am taking these trips so I can make an informed decision."

We will have updates on Goodwyn after each visit in the coming weeks.

NOTE:Upon publishing this article, we learned that Goodwyn has committed to Boston College as per The Boston Globe.
