Randy Edsall and his staff got after Georgia wide receiver Terence Jeffers early and it paid off late. Jeffers had recently begun to heat from a few of the nation's power programs, but UConn's early efforts had convinced him that the upstart Huskies were right for him. UConnfan.com caught up with Jeffers to discuss his commitment.
6-foot-2, 195- pound wide receiver prospect Terence Jeffers
from Berkmar HS in Lilburn, Ga. has issued a verbal commitment to the UConn Huskies. Scout.com reported Sunday that Jeffers was blown away with the direction of the program and the facilities the school had to offer. Jeffers had this to say after he acknowledged that he had indeed committed.
"UConn is the best place possible that you could want to go."
Coach Edsall had in home visit with the rising star on Tuesday, and it was assumed that the visit sealed the deal with Jeffers, but he knew that he was going to be a Huskie before hosting the coach.
"I actually committed before my in home with Coach Edsall, but it may have made the visit even more special," Jeffers informed.
There were some heavy hitters coming in on Jeffers, but he knew that his heart was set on UConn and his enthusiasm for the program is evident.
"I just want to include that UConn is someone to look out for in the next couple of years. We are going to be something special," Jeffers exclaimed!
