UConn Mines PA Again - Lands C.J. Marck

The Connecticut Huskies are starting to make this a habit - once again, a three-star prospect from the state of Pennsylvania has offered a commitment to UConn. This time, fast-rising linebacker prospect C.J. Marck joins the fold.

Randy Edsall seems to have Pennsylvania his own happy hunting ground with this, the third verbal from that state in the last week.

Pennsbury linebacker CJ. Marck has accepted an offer and has committed to the UConn Huskies. Marck, one of the fastest rising prospects in the state of Pennsylvania, had camped at UConn over the past several days and came away impressed with the program.

Marck is a physical linebacker with solid run-stopping ability. He's always around the ball and shows ability in pass coverage – he has good speed and good athleticism, but his aggressiveness and his hustle have made him a standout performer.

Marck, who is listed among the top 50 players in Pennsylvania, was impressive at the Scout.com Combine at Rutgers earlier this spring.

After his showing at the combine, his father, Charlie, reported that the Huskies had become the first team to offer an official scholarship.

Marck joins fellow Keystone State prospects Cody Endres and Gary Bardzak, and kicker Dave Teggart in UConn's class of 2007.
