The Utah Utes connected on an amazing 17-26 three pointers to set a team and MWC record en route to handing the Rebels their worst loss of the season, 86-63.

Nick Jacobson, who led the Utes with a career high 26 points, connected on 5-9 treys. Jeff Johnsen also hit five three pointers his 17 point effort.

UNLV, who was led by Dalron Johnson's 20 points, took an early 10-3 lead after Chris Richardson hit a three of his own out of the left corner. But then came the Utah three point barrage.

Facing a 2-3 zone, Utah connected on nine straight three pointers to put the Utes ahead for good. Utah led 39-30 at the break.

In the second half, the Rebels could get no closer than 10 points. Utah ballooned the lead 22 points when Jacobson, Cullen and Jeff Johnsen connected on consecutive three pointers.

UNLV (8-6, 1-2) next travels to BYU for a Tuesday night game.
