Two more football commitments in

UNLV coach Mike Sanford picked up a pair of commitments over the weekend including one of the top players from state champion Bishop Gorman High School.

Beau Orth (6-1, 205), a two-way star for the Gaels, picked the Rebels where he is projected to play safety. Orth also starred at fullback for Gorman.

The Rebels also beat out Air Force and Nevada for tight end Alex Young (6-5, 225) from Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic.

Young helped lead the Raiders to the Sac-Joaquin Division V title. He also caught a touchdown pass in the California State Division III title game that Central Catholic lost to Darrell Scott-led St. Bonaventure High School at the Home Depot Center in Carson.
