Hart to stay at QB for remainder of spring

According to the LA Times this morning, Billy Hart will stay with the football team for the remainder of spring instead of returning to baseball. Billy said Coach Carrol called and told him things "were going well" and that he wanted him to continue to compete for the position.

This is good news for Hart because he has shown enough so far this spring to warrant consideration. Bernard Riley was full of praise for Hart at the dinner earlier this week talking about how much damage Billy did to the first team defense while running the scout offense for the past two seasons. Bernard said "just like we knew Justin Fargas was going to be good based upon how he did against us in practice we know Billy has what it takes to get the job done."
