"It was just the right place for me," Sarao said. "When I was at USC with the coaching staff, I just felt that they are going to make me the best that I can be. It was the best place for me right now."
Sarao was in California this weekend visiting both schools, and after weighing his options, he decided that Los Angeles was the best fit for him.
"I had breakfast with Coach (Lane) Kiffin and I told him this morning," Sarao said.
One of the big factors in his decision was the chance to play and learn from Monte Kiffin and linebacker coach Joe Barry.
"The best part was when I got to sit down with Monte Kiffin to talk about football," Sarao said when asked about his official visit. "We talked about the scheme and about making an early impact. Coach Barry also showed me what they do to get us better with all their drills."
With the commitment of Sarao, the Trojans add one of the top linebackers in the 2011 class and get a major boost at a position of need.
