Trojans at the Top

The four-star safety has attended USC home games in the past, but said the visit allowed him to get to know the coaches better and learn more about the academics.

Marqise Lee has emerged as one of the top overall prospects on the West Coast after a tremendous senior season in which he helped Serra High School to their second-straight CIF Championship.

With the recruiting process nearly coming to an end, Lee is still considering four schools: USC, Miami, Oregon and Cal.

Marqise Lee was one of the top players at the Under Armour Game.
This past weekend he took an official visit to USC with his teammate, George Farmer, where the talented pair were hosted by former Serra standouts Robert Woods and DaJohn Harris.

"They showed us a lot of fun and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves," Lee said. "It was great to have the Serra alumni there."

The four-star safety has attended USC home games in the past, but said the visit allowed him to get to know the coaches better and learn more about the academics.

"I finally got a chance to sit down and see the school," he said. "I got the chance to talk with coaches about the academic stuff, and how things work, and it was awesome.

"The coaches were great and the facilities were great."

Following the trip, he admits that USC is currently in the lead, but still has a visit to Miami coming up, and won't reveal his decision until Signing Day.

"They are at the top right now," Lee said of the Trojans. "I am just trying to see what this last visit (Miami) is going to be like and if I can actually deal with being out there, and if so, then it will be a real hard decision.

"Miami is a city just like L.A., so in case I want to get away and meet new people that is somewhere I would like to go.

"I am going to take my Miami trip, and then after that when I get back I am going to sit down and really think about it, and see where I am going to go."
