USC commit Rogers plans to take visits

Darreus Rogers, who committed to the Trojans in January, will use his full compliment of official visits.

Carson (Calif.) wide receiver Darreus Rogers is verbally committed to USC, but that does not mean he is done with the recruiting process.

Rogers plans to take his allotment of official visits and identified potential trips while attending the Elite QB Academy, presented by his high school coach Elijah Asante, over the weekend.

"I'm going to probably take (visits) to Miami, ASU, Washington and Oregon," said Rogers, who has recently added offers from Arizona, Fresno State and the Hurricanes.

The 6-foot-2, 200 pound Rogers has also committed to attend the famed USC Rising Stars camp this summer, which will offer a chance to work with new receivers coach Ted Gilmore as well as the rest of the Trojan staff.

"It's always good to go to camps and get the extra work in," Rogers said.

Rogers committed to USC last January and attributed that decision to several factors.

"It's close to home, the atmosphere and school-wise, I can get a good education. The history of SC is so big," he said.
