Getting to Know 2012: Jahleel Pinner

High school graduation is around the corner for Jahleel Pinner and just days following his commencement ceremony Pinner will be moving to his new home at USC.

Reality is starting to hit Mission Viejo (Calif.) Mission Hills back Jahleel Pinner as the 2012 USC commit starts to realize high school is ending and college is only a couple of weeks away.

"It's pretty crazy right now," explained Pinner. "It's really weird hearing myself say I'm going to college instead of hearing other people say I'll be going to USC in a couple of months."

Pinner graduates from Mission Hills June 14th and will be moving into his new dorm at USC just three days later to begin summer school.

Although he says he doesn't know what to expect at summer school or summer workouts, he is already familiar with a couple of his new roommates.

"I'm rooming with Nelson Agholor from Florida and Zach Banner from Washington and Leonard Williams," said Pinner. "Us three are pretty good friends, so hopefully that will continue throughout our college careers."

Since signing with the Trojans, Pinner has dropped from 225 lbs. to 223 lbs.

"The coaches wanted me to lose some weight so they want me to come in at about 220," he explained. "(I'm) just dieting and working out about six times a week."

When Pinner isn't working out, he's enjoying his last moments as a high school kid.

"I'm leaving everybody from my high school and I'm leaving all my friends and starting a new life," he said, "it's weird but I'll be good, I'll adjust to it."
