Checking In with Fitts

Kylie Fitts gave his verbal commitment to the Trojans in April, joining an already distinguished recruiting class full of stars in 2013.

Redlands (Calif.) Redlands East Valley defensive end Kylie Fitts verbally committed to the Trojans nearly two months ago and is continuing to find reasons why USC the best fit for him.

"All the times I went to USC I never really visited the campus," explained Fitts, "so a couple of months ago me and my dad and one of the recruiters just took a tour and it was just very beautiful."

The more he sees of USC, the more he is convinced he made the right decision committing earlier than he originally planned.

"I wanted to wait until after season," Fitts said, "but I knew USC was the place so I decided to go ahead because I've been a fan ever since I was a little kid. There's just no question that's my spot."

Though Fitts is nearly certain he will be suiting up for the Trojans in the fall of 2013, he is still wants to take a few official visits elsewhere.

"I'm planning on doing maybe four I'm thinking," said Fitts. "I'm not positive about them right now, but I want to take four just for life experience but my heart is at USC."

In the meantime, he's already begun to forge relationships with other verbal commits from the class of 2013 including Chris Hawkins, Max Browne, and Kenny Bigelow.

Fitts also participated at the Trojans linemen camp over the weekend.
