USC Cornerback Transfers

FOX Sports Next has learned that USC has cleared another scholarship for the Fall season with the transfer of a senior cornerback.

FOX Sports Next has learned that senior cornerback T.J. Bryant has transferred from the USC Trojan Football team and has enrolled at Troy University.

Bryant redshirted last year and will be a 5th year senior at Troy. He finished his Trojan career with 32 tackles and an interception.

Bryant, from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Fla. was a 4-Star cornerback prospect by

"I love those Troy coaches," Bryant said. "They believe in me and I believe in them. They put cornerbacks in the league and that's ultimately where I want to go. It's just a great opportunity for me to excel and get great coaching. Hopefully I can fulfill my dreams and play in the NFL after Troy."

Bryant, 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds, will be a 5th year senior. He has already graduated with a communications degree from USC before being officially released on June 18th. He will be in a Master's program at Troy.

"I have so many good memories of my time at Southern Cal," Bryant said. "In the end things just didn't work out. I wish the entire USC program nothing but success in the future and the best of luck. I just had a really good time out there."

Bryant was also considering transferring to North Carolina, Tennessee, Rutgers, Temple and Missouri before selecting Troy. Top Stories
