The running back hyperextended his toe while running the Coliseum stairs during a workout with his teammates following the Fourth of July holiday break.
"I came up short on the stair and kind of hyperextended my toe," he explained. "I have turf toe."
The trainers put Morgan in a boot to protect the toe until the start of training camp on August 6th.
Since the injury, he has kept himself out of any field activities but continues to workout in the weight room everyday.
Morgan is "a little" concerned about the injury and loss of reps at summer workouts given the close proximity to the start of fall camp.
"It weighs on my mind," he said. "I feel like I'm not in the position to lose any reps and right when I was feeling good I got hit with this. So, I'm a little disappointed but some things you just can't help."
Morgan expects to be "good to go" by the start of camp, but says even if he is not 100% he will go out and do what he can.
