Barkley Breaking Records

The scoreboard read "Congratulations, Matt Barkley" in the second quarter after Barkley took over as the Pac-12's career leader for touchdown passes... and the records keep coming for the senior quarterback.

Matt Barkley finished 19-of-20 for 298 yards and six touchdowns against Colorado.

He broke the Pac-12 and USC career touchdown pass record with the 100th touchdown pass of his career. The records were previously held by former Trojan Matt Leinart.

Barkley's passing efficiency rating on Saturday of 319.16 broke the Pac-12 record of 301.30, which was held by UCLA's Drew Olson dating back to 2005.

His six touchdown passes against the Buffaloes tied his own USC record. It was a USC career best seventh time he's thrown for at least five touchdowns in a game.

Finally, after completing 19-of-21 pass attempts for 95% completion percentage, he broke the Pac-12 record for highest percentage of completed passes in a game for a minimum of both 15 and 20 attempts.

Barkley talked to following his career day about taking over as the Pac-12 career leader for touchdown passes.
