Pastner turns down USC job

The Trojans' top target, Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon, signed an extension to remain with the Panthers... next up for USC was Memphis head coach Josh Pastner who has now decided he'll remain with the Tigers.

Two offers have gone out for the USC head coaching position and now two coaches have turned it down.

Pittsburgh head coach Jamie Dixon was the Trojans top target since the firing of former head coach Kevin O'Neill in January. Dixon chose to sign an extension with the Panthers after receiving the offer from USC at the conclusion of Pitts' season.

Now, Memphis head coach Josh Pastner has announced that he will remain with the Memphis Tigers after receiving an offer from Troy.

Pastner, 35, just concluded his fourth season as the head coach at Memphis. He led the Tigers to the second round of this season's NCAA tournament before falling to Michigan State.
