Back to throwing

FOX Sports NEXT has exclusive video of USC's Thursday players-only throwing session.

USC players took two weeks off after final exams and now it's back to business.

A handful of players were on Cromwell Field Thursday afternoon for what was supposed to be a 7on7 session, but due to a lack of players had to be reduced to merely one-on-ones.

Max Browne and Cody Kessler traded snaps at quarterback. Max Wittek will be unavailable to participate for another two weeks as he recovers from mono.

Since observing throwing sessions for a year now, I think it's safe to say Thursday was one of the more dismal team efforts I remember seeing.

An injury update to take note of is Randall Telfer. As you may recall, Telfer tore his meniscus during spring drills and was scheduled to sit out only six weeks to recover. Those six weeks have come and gone and Telfer is still unable to participate. He told FOX Sports NEXT he thinks it's more precautionary than anything that he hasn't been cleared, but says he definitely thinks he needs to strengthen his knee more before returning. He expects to be back within a couple of weeks.
