Torrance (Calif.) Bishop Montgomery shootin guard Stephen Thompson Jr. showed off his shooting skills on the Pangos All-American Camp stage this weekend, as well as a brand new offer.
Thompson says he plans to visit Gonzaga and BC during the summer, but still wants to develop his game before college, starting at the Pangos All-American Camp.
"There are a lot of quick point guards out there," said Thompson. "I'm trying to stay in front of them and just wok on my defense."
One aspect of his game that Thompson is already confident about is his shooting skills, especially outside of the arc.
"I was pretty confident in my shot last night," said Thompson. He admitted that his favorite part of the game is shooting, something he likes about Gonzaga and some of the others schools that have given him offers.
"They like to play an up-tempo offense and I like to shoot the ball," said Thompson in response to what he liked about his current list of schools.
Thompson, a Sothern California native, admits that his dream school is close to home.
"I have a strong interest in UCLA," said Thompson. "I've always wanted to go there."
Thompson says he is also looking at USC. hHe will attend the Trojans' camp this summer.
