Town to Camp Kiffin

Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure quarterback Ricky Town still has two more years until college, but he says he could see himself fitting in with the Trojans.

Ricky Town and the rest of the St. Bonaventure team went 2-1 during pool play at the Dana Hills Air Strike in Southern California on Saturday, after his team fell to Upland (Calif.) after a controversial call in the final seconds.

On the recruiting side of things, the 2015 quarterback has compiled a list of offers including Miami, UCLA, Florida State, Arizona State and Alabama.

Town recently returned from a trip to Tuscaloosa, where he talked to both offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and head coach Nick Saban.

Although Town doesn't have an offer from the Trojans yet, he says he is interested in USC and plans to attend their camp on Sunday.

"Definitely," said Town in response to whether he could see himself fitting in with the Trojans. "I like the fact that they run the pro-style offense like St. Bonnie's does, which I'm looking for. And it's close to home, which is nice."

Town says he's been talking mostly to quarterback coach Clay Helton and recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron and has already made a trip to USC's campus.

"I went down to their spring practice and checked them out," said Town.

Town still has two more years until college, and in the meantime, he says he is "just trying to win games and lead [his] team."
