Dorton has 'great' day at USC's camp

2014 Bellflower (Calif.) Bosco defensive end Malik Dorton already holds an offer from USC, but attended Camp Kiffin on Sunday to spend time working with the staff.

2014 Bellflower (Calif.) Bosco defensive end Malik Dorton spent Sunday camping at USC.

Dorton, who picked up a Trojan offer in May, said it was great spending the day working with who could be his future coaches.

"It was a chance for me to work with the coaches and get a feel for them," Dorton told FOX Sports NEXT.

The four-star recruit said he spent the majority of the time working with defensive line coach Ed Orgeron and linebackers coach Mike Ekeler.

After camp Dorton was able to chat with Orgeron and head coach Lane Kiffin for a few minutes. "They said they love the way I move and how important it can be more me to come in and play as a freshman next year," Dorton explained.

"SC is a great school that presents a wonderful opportunity for me to have an immediate impact," he continued. "I like my chances of coming in and playing if I go to 'SC."

Dorton told FOX Sports NEXT in May that three schools stand out to him, USC, UCLA, and Washington.
