Hilinski grew up watching the Trojans

2015 Upland (Calif.) quarterback Tyler Hilinski is waiting on his first offer. In the meantime, he has plenty of camps scheduled going into his junior season.

No offers yet for Upland (Calif.) quarterback Tyler Hilinski, but plenty of schools are showing interest in the 2015 recruit, including USC.

The Trojans offensive line assistant James Cregg and quarterbacks coach Clay Helton went to a couple of Upland practices this spring, according to Hilinski, and the Upland team will be participating in a 7on7 camp at USC in late June.

A Southern California native, Hilinski says he grew up a fan of the Trojans. "I'd love to go there," he told FOX Sports NEXT at Dana Hills AirStrike. "It's a great school academically and I've grown up watching Matt Leinart, Carson Palmer, and John David Booty. It was awesome."

Hilinski, however, is aware the Trojans have already picked up a commitment from 2015 quarterback David Sills.

The 6-foot-4 186-pound prospect isn't necessarily deterred by the commitment, but is keeping it in mind as the recruiting process continues.

Following Dana Hills 7on7 tournament, Hilinski made a trip to the Bay Area to participate in California's camp. He's also scheduled to visit Washington and Alabama this summer.

Hilinski says the Huskies are after him the hardest right now, "[Washington] said if I perform well at their camp, they'll offer.

"I've been getting a lot of letters from everywhere, but the only coaches I've actually spoken with is [Washington quarterbacks coach Marques] Tuiasosopo, [Arizona State offensive coordinator Mike] Norvell, and [Alabama offensive coordinator Doug] Nussmeier."
