Tuesday morning throwing session

The Trojans are in their third week of voluntary throwing sessions on Cromwell Field at USC...Check out notes and highlights from the Tuesday morning players-only throwing session.

The third week of voluntary summer throwing sessions is underway at USC.

For the first time this summer, all three quarterbacks - Max Wittek, Cody Kessler, and Max Browne - were available to practice Tuesday morning.

As has become the routine on Tuesdays, the throwing session portion of the Trojans workout got started around 7:20 am after weight lifting and conditioning.

Linemen did not stay on the field to participate in any 11on11 drills and about half the position players left at 7:40 to make it to their 8 am summer classes.

A few notable plays during 7on7 included a nice catch by redshirt senior De'Von Flournoy over safety Josh Shaw...Sophomore tight end Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick caught a deep touchdown pass from Wittek...Wittek also threw about a 45-yard touchdown pass to redshirt sophomore Victor Blackwell...The session ended on an interception by Shaw, on a Wittek pass intended for Marqise Lee. Shaw said after the workout that defensive end Devon Kennard forced Lee off his route, enabling Shaw to make the pick.
