Trojans power through "hot" workout

Temperatures were in the 80's early Friday morning on Cromwell field, but the Trojan squad was still out in full force. Check out highlights and notes from USC's workout here.

The heat clearly didn't affect the Trojans, as there was almost perfect attendance on Cromwell field Friday morning. The USC squad kicked things off a little earlier, allowing the squad to escape the sun a few minutes early as well.

Lead by the Trojans' trio of QBs--Max Wittek, Cody Kessler and Max Browne--the team ran 7on7s. The offensive line left at 8:40 a.m. as they were the one position group that was not out in full numbers. So, the Trojans were not able to run team drills and 11on11 on Friday.

One of the best plays of the morning, was cornerback Ryan Dillard's interception. The pass thrown by Browne was intended for Marqise Lee, but was overthrown, allowing Dillard to pick it off.

One month of summer workouts is officially in the books for the Trojans, and with the upcoming holiday, it looks like they will be taking a short break.
