And that sound you just heard was the USC staff, players, and fans taking a collective sigh of relief.
Lee was not on Howard-Jones during morning practice on Saturday but trotted out during the evening session with his teammates wearing his full uniform, minus pads.
The 2012 Biletnikoff Award winner spent the second practice of the day encouraging teammates and helped to keep drills moving by shagging balls.
"He should be back very soon," Kiffin said. "I found out after the media [press conference] last night, and obviously that's great news."
Kiffin likened the situation of Lee's injury to losing a wallet, being upset, and then finding the wallet, "You're really right back to where you started, but you feel good about it. We were excited last night, but we're really right back to where we started."
In Lee's absence, freshman receiver Darreus Rogers moved in to take reps with the first team offense Saturday.
