Notebook: Day sixteen morning session

There was a shake-up at the O-line during Sunday morning's practice on day sixteen of USC Fall Camp.

The Trojans were back to two-a-days on Howard Jones Field Sunday morning, as day sixteen kicked off. Check out all the highlights from the morning session of USC's Fall Camp.

-Howard Jones was filled with yellow jerseys this morning, as Silas Redd, Hayes Pullard, Darreus Rogers, Marqise Lee, Justin Davis and Tre Madden were all limited during workouts. During team runs all but Pullard and Redd took reps, as No. 10 and No. 25 were attended to by trainers. Redd left the field with the rehab crew and Pullard iced his right elbow on the sidelines.

-There was a big shake-up at the O-line Sunday morning as John Martinez competed with Aundrey Walker for the starting right guard spot. During run throughs, both practiced with the ones, but during team runs, Martinez looked to be ahead of Walker, as he worked out with the ones, and Walker practiced with the twos. The ones on the offensive line were Kevin Graf, Martinez, Marcus Martin, Max Tuerk and Chad Wheeler, while the twos were Zach Banner, Aundrey Walker, Abe Markowitz, Giovanni Di Poalo and Nathan Guertler. At one point Markowitz practiced with the ones, but only for two reps as Martin took a short break.

-Victor Blackwell was still on crutches on Sunday morning. No word as to when he should be back.

-Xavier Grimble was the only tight end not working out on Sunday morning. Grimble spent most of Saturday afternoon's practice in the trainer's tent, and stayed there for this morning's session.

-Dion Bailey was out in pads for day sixteen, although the safety watched from the sidelines and left the field with the rehab crew halfway through the workout.

-Freshman Quinton Powell was back with the ones again this morning, filling in for Pullard as he iced his shoulder.

-As for the As for the QB race, there is still no separation, as Cody Kessler and Max Wittek were on par with each other. The only big difference was that Kessler got a few more reps and was the only quarterback working out during the end of game scenarios. Wittek's first pass of the day was a fairly deep ball completed to Nelson Agholor. Kessler's best highlight from the morning was a long ball to Lee in the endzone for a touchdown.

-At fullback, Jahleel Pinner took all the reps, while Soma Vainuku watched from the sidelines. The two are still competing for the starting spot, but with Pinner taking the majority of the reps for a few days now, the competition could have already been decided.

-At the end of team activities, linebacker Julian Coleman went down in the middle of a play with what looked like a left arm injury. He was taken to the trainer's tent, but no word on his condition.

-And once again for this morning's trivial note, the quarterbacks conditioned this morning with Coach Clay Helton, Steven Mitchell and the team managers.

There is still one more practice later tonight for day sixteen of USC Fall Camp, so stay tuned for more on the Trojans.
