Lobendahn still working on other recruits

USC commit Toa Lobendahn updated SCPlaybook on the latest in his commitment to the Trojans, his appeal process to play at La Habra, and the headway he's making recruiting friends...

USC commit Toa Lobendahn remains sidelined for now on the La Habra (Calif.) football team. Lobendahn, who transferred from Lakewood (Calif.) is expecting to hear a decision this week on his appeal, though believes it's likely he won't be cleared to play until October.

In the meantime, Lobendahn is cheering his team on from the sideline and is staying busy reaching to friends and other local recruits including Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive lineman Damien Mama, Corona (Calif.) Centennial offensive lineman Viane Talamaivao, and Long Beach (Calif.) Poly safety Juju Smith.

Lobendahn, the No. 10 offensive guard in Scout's 2014 class, will enroll at USC for the spring semester.
