Mama happy to see the USC bounce back

2014 Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive guard Damien Mama is a top USC target. Mama discusses his top list of schools, his recent unofficial to USC when the Trojans fell to Washington State, as well as who might get his final two official visits...

2014 Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco recruit Damien Mama has three official visits on his calendar.

The No. 1 offensive guard nationally will take trips to Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Alabama.

After his game Friday night at Loyola, Mama told FOX Sports SCPlaybook that he still isn't sure where his final two visits will be, though he does not anticipate taking official trips to local schools USC and UCLA.

"I'll probably just take unofficials there," Mama said, adding that he'd like his official visits to be to places he normally wouldn't have the means of getting to.

Mama's list of favorite schools still sits at eight, he listed them as: Alabama, USC, UCLA BYU, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Florida.

He says he most likely won't be making a decision until the Army All-American game or even until February.

Mama said after his game that he hadn't made a decision on whether to attend USC's home game on Saturday hosting Utah State or UCLA's game at the Rose Bowl hosting New Mexico State. He ended up going to UCLA's.

Mama was at USC when the Trojans lost 10-7 to Washington State.

He expressed disappointment in both the play calling in the game, noting the bubble screens to Marqise Lee, as well as the fans booing the team.

"They should open their playbook and that really showed against Boston College. I was really glad to see that," Mama explained.

Mama said despite being taken aback by what he witnessed that evening in the Coliseum that it "doesn't affect" his recruitment by the Trojans. "I'm still considering the school," he said.
